a-spoonful-of-sugar

I love using Burt’s Bee’s sugar scrub after shaving. It’s the only thing that keeps my skin hydrated all day long without irritating it like lotion does.

You know what I’m talking about, right? You shave your legs, put on some lotion, and less than two minutes later you have little red splotches all over. Not cute! Don’t worry, there’s a solution and Burt’s Bees Sugar Scrub is it. I have no problems with “dry-itchy-skin” on days I exfoliate with it and I’m sure it’ll do the same for you.

I use the scrub one of two ways depending on the weather. In the summer I use the scrub first and then the body wash because I don’t like a lot of product on my skin especially when I get hot and sweaty. In the winter after my body wash because I need the extra hydration to get me through the day without feeling like I have alligator skin.

There are three different scents you can choose from: Mango & Orange, Cranberry & Pomegranate, and Honey & Shea. Mango & Orange is my favorite, but Cranberry & Pomegranate is the only one I’ve been able to find in stores lately. If you’re having a hard time finding it in a store near you, you can always shop the Burt’s Bees online store.

I do have to warn you though, make sure you take the foil wrapping all of the way off because cutting your finger on that stuff is not an experience that you want, trust me! Also, it leaves a little residue that can build up if you don’t clean your bathtub often, so I suggest cleaning your shower at least once a week. That’s actually a good thing to do even if you don’t use sugar scrub.
